Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DigiFlip website and services (the "Service") operated by Orange-Hat, LLC ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account, depositing DGB, or casting a vote, you agree to these Terms.
1. What DigiFlip is
DigiFlip is a DigiByte-native binary prediction market. Users stake DGB on yes-or-no questions about future events. When a market resolves, the losing pool (minus a 5% house fee) is distributed pro-rata to the winning side. See How it works for mechanics and worked examples.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
- You must have the legal right to participate in prediction markets in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you.
- You may not use the Service if doing so would violate any applicable law, regulation, sanction, or court order.
- Residents of jurisdictions where prediction markets are prohibited — or where DigiFlip is blocked — may not participate.
3. Accounts and authentication
DigiFlip uses Digi-ID for authentication. You prove ownership of a DigiByte address by signing a challenge with your wallet. We do not collect or store passwords. You are responsible for keeping the private keys of any address you use with DigiFlip secure. Loss of those keys means loss of access to your account, and we cannot recover it for you.
4. Deposits, balances, and withdrawals
- Deposits credit to your DigiFlip balance after a configurable number of DigiByte network confirmations.
- Your balance is held inside DigiFlip and denominated in DGB. It represents a claim on our reserves, not direct on-chain custody.
- You may withdraw any available (non-locked) balance to a DigiByte address you control at any time, subject to a minimum withdrawal amount and a network fee reserve shown on the wallet page.
- Withdrawals are processed as on-chain DigiByte transactions and are irreversible once broadcast. You are responsible for confirming the destination address before authorizing a withdrawal.
5. Voting, resolution, and fees
- When you cast a vote, your staked DGB is locked until the market is resolved or refunded.
- You may cast multiple votes on the same market, but only on one side. You cannot have stakes on both YES and NO in the same market.
- On resolution with a winning side, a 5% fee is taken from the losing pool. Winners receive their stake back plus a pro-rata share of the remaining losing pool.
- If a market cannot be resolved fairly, it may be refunded. Every voter gets their stake back in full and no fee is charged.
- Market resolutions are currently performed by DigiFlip admins. You agree that the admin's resolution is final unless a dispute is filed and upheld within 24 hours after resolution.
6. Disputes
If you believe a market was resolved incorrectly, you may file a dispute within 24 hours of resolution using the Flag button on the market page. Filing a dispute does not automatically reverse any payout. An admin will review the dispute; if upheld, the market will be publicly marked as disputed and any corrective action will be taken at our discretion.
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law, or attempt to circumvent geographic or age restrictions.
- Use the Service for money laundering, financing of illegal activity, or any sanctions-evasion purpose.
- Attempt to hack, probe, or disrupt the Service, including by submitting automated traffic beyond our published rate limits, exploiting race conditions, or intentionally corrupting data.
- Propose markets for outcomes involving private individuals, the personal safety or harm of specific people, or any other topic we deem inappropriate. We may reject proposed markets at our sole discretion.
- Post harassing, illegal, defamatory, or otherwise abusive content in comments or dispute reasons.
- Attempt to manipulate market outcomes through coordinated activity, wash-voting across accounts, or insider access to the resolving source of truth.
8. User-generated content
You retain ownership of the content you post (market proposals, comments, dispute reasons, feedback), but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it as part of operating the Service. Comments are reviewed by a moderator before they appear publicly. We may remove content that violates these Terms at our sole discretion.
9. Disclaimers
- Prediction markets involve financial risk. Only stake what you can afford to lose.
- DigiFlip is not a registered financial service, investment adviser, broker-dealer, or licensed gambling operator. Nothing on DigiFlip constitutes financial, legal, or investment advice.
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any market will be resolved by a particular time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orange-Hat, LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including without limitation lost profits, lost data, or loss of DGB resulting from market outcomes, bugs, downtime, or third-party actions. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total fees we collected from you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. On termination, your rights under these Terms will cease, but any DGB balance owed to you at the time of termination will remain withdrawable to a DigiByte address you control, subject to compliance with applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Orange-Hat, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the feedback form.
